Hello,

Apologies if this question has been addressed elsewhere - I checked and did not see it.

I am using Begraphic in Excel 2010 with this map:
http://www.d-maps.com/carte.php?lib=uni ... 55&lang=en

I am trying to set a parameter to display text within an object. After clicking the desired object and then clicking "set parameter" in the ribbon, I select "Text" from the left side of the window, and then attempt to click "+" to be given the option to select the appropriate cell. However, the "+" is greyed out, and it cannot be selected. The "colour & pattern" and "line / borders" options are both functioning correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I just realized that to use the text feature, an autoshape must first be first inserted. (per page 6 in Interactive_maps_documentation.pdf)

Thanks

Dear BeGraphic user,

Without BeGraphic, try to put a text inside
  • a regular auto-shape (circle, rectangle, trinagle) : It's possible to include a text
  • a freeform (e.g.: country, state, county...) : Excel doesn't allow to include a text

So there is no miracle: BeGraphic is obvioulsy limited by Excel capacities.

The only solution is not to try to use "in-shape text" (to help user, the text's cell function is greyed out for freeforms)
but to add an additional "textbox" on top of the country's shape.

Regards
